Your login and security
You sign in at app.tipsheet.com.au with your email and password, or with Sign in with Google if your account is linked to a Google account.

New to Tip Sheet? You don't sign up here. Open the invitation in your email to create your account.
Two-step verification
If you sign in with a password, Tip Sheet also asks you to confirm it's you with a second check. You set it up the first time you sign in, and you can have more than one method.
| Method | How it works |
|---|---|
| Authenticator app (Recommended) | An app such as Google Authenticator or 1Password shows a six-digit code that changes every 30 seconds. |
| Passkey | Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello or a security key on the device you're using. |
| Text message | A code is texted to your mobile. |
| Email code | A code is emailed to you. |
You won't be asked every time. Once a browser has passed the check, it is trusted for 30 days, so signing in from your usual computer is just email and password. A new device or browser is asked for a code, and you'll get an email headed Unusual sign-in on your Tip Sheet account. That email is expected; it doesn't mean anything is wrong.
Set up a second method as soon as you can. If you lose your phone, a backup is the only way back in without contacting Tip Sheet support.
Signing in with Google skips this check, because Google has already confirmed it's you.
Account Security
Your own sign-in settings live on the Account Security page. Choose your name at the top right, then Account Security. It's the same page from the venue view and the admin view.
Choose Account SecurityThe page has its own frame, without the usual menu. Back to Venue Portal (or Back to Admin Portal) at the top left takes you back to where you were. The five sections are listed down the left, and choosing one jumps to it.
Back to where you wereYour account
Your name and email are shown but can't be changed here. To change your email, contact Tip Sheet support.
To add or change your mobile number, choose Add (or Change), type the number with its country code, and choose Save.
Changing your mobile removes text-message verification, because it was set up for the old number. Add it again afterwards. If it's your only method, add another one first.
Two-step verification

Each method you've set up is listed, with the one Tip Sheet asks for first marked Preferred.
- Add method opens a list of the methods you haven't set up yet. Choose one and follow the steps.
- Make preferred sets which method Tip Sheet asks for first.
- Remove takes a method away. You can't remove your last one; add another first.
- The line at the bottom says whether this browser is trusted. If it isn't, Trust this browser stops Tip Sheet asking for a code here for 30 days. Only use it on your own computer.

Only the methods you haven't set up are offered. Here, Email code is already in use.
If this card says Two-step verification is switched off for this account, Tip Sheet support has turned the check off for you. Your account is then protected by its password alone. Contact Tip Sheet support if you'd like it back on. You can add a method either way.
Linked accounts

Link takes you to Google to choose your Google account. After that, Sign in with Google works for you. Unlink reverses it, but only once your account has a password, so you can still get in.
Change your password

The rules tick off as you type.
Enter your current password, then the new one twice, and choose Update password. A new password needs at least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a symbol.
If you've only ever signed in with Google, this card is headed Set a password instead, with no current password to enter and a Set password button. Setting one lets you sign in either way.
Where you're signed in

Each device that's signed in, with where and when it was last used. The one you're on is marked This device.
- Sign out next to a device signs that one out. Use it on anything you don't recognise.
- Sign out everywhere signs you out on every device, including this one, and forgets every trusted browser. Your next sign-in anywhere will ask for a code.
- A long list shows the latest five. The rest are behind the Show all … sessions button.
Forgotten your password?
Choose Forgot your password? on the Sign in screen. Enter your email and choose Send reset code.

Tip Sheet emails you a six-digit code, with a link that fills it in for you. On Choose a new password, enter the code and your new password twice, then choose Update password. No email? Choose Send another.
Five wrong passwords within an hour stops sign-ins from that connection for 15 minutes. Wait, then try again.
Locked out of two-step verification?
- If you set up a second method, choose Use a different method on the code screen.
- If not, contact Tip Sheet support at support@tipsheet.com.au. They can reset your two-step verification so you can set it up again. The code screen suggests asking your manager, but your manager can't reset it from their side, so go straight to support.
Signing out
Choose your name at the top right, then Log out. Tip Sheet asks you to confirm. Tick Forget this device first if you're on a shared or public computer; the next sign-in there will ask for a code.
Tip Sheet's sign-in changed in September 2026. Your password is the same, but codes from an authenticator app you set up before then no longer work. The first time you sign in you'll be asked to set up two-step verification again: choose Authenticator app, scan the new code, and delete the old Tip Sheet entry from your app. Text-message codes carried over unchanged.
