Card tips from your POS
The POS Tips tab lists every order with a card tip that your POS sent to Tip Sheet this week. Tips arrive on their own; there's nothing to import. Imported from, at the top right of the list, shows which POS they come from.

|---|---|
| Order time | When the order was placed, in the venue's time. |
| Ref, POS | The order number and the terminal or register. |
| Sale, Svc charge, Total | The bill, any service charge on it, and the two together. |
| Tip | The card tip. |
| Service period | The service the tip counts towards, such as Lunch. |
The list shows 50 orders at a time. The page numbers are underneath, with a choice of 50, 100 or 200 a page.
See how an order was paid
Select the arrow at the start of a row. It opens the order's payments: the method (such as Amex), when it was made, on which terminal, and the sale and tip on each.

Which service a tip counts towards
Tip Sheet places each tip in a service using the time of the order and the venue's service periods. The tip is then shared among the staff working that service. See Venue Timings.
To move a tip to a different service, or a different day, select the pencil at the end of its row. Allocate service period opens.

Choose the Date and the Service period, then Save. Tip Sheet recalculates the week. A tip you've moved shows a small history icon beside its service. Point at it to see where the tip was moved from, who moved it and when. If you moved it to a date in another week, it leaves this list.
You can only move tips in weeks that aren't locked or paid.
Choosing Reallocate tips (below) puts every tip back where its order time places it, and so do some changes to the venue's service periods. Check moved tips again before you lock the week.
Tips that aren't in a service
A tip lands outside every service when its order time doesn't fall inside any of that day's service periods, for example an order rung up after the last service ended. Tip Sheet then shows a yellow message above the tabs: N POS tips are not in a service period yet, so they are left out of the tip sheet. (For a single tip it says 1 POS tip is not in a service period yet, so it is left out of the tip sheet.)
Tips that aren't in a service are paid to nobody, and Tip Sheet won't let anyone lock the week until they're placed.
- Choose Show them in the message (Show it if there's one), or tick Show tips not in a service period only above the list. Either one lists just those orders.
- Choose Allocate in the Service period column of each one, pick the Date and the Service period in the box, and Save.
Someone without the permission to place tips sees Not allocated instead of Allocate. See What each permission controls.
If it happens often, the service periods probably don't match your trading hours. Ask whoever manages venue settings to widen them; see Venue Timings.
Place every tip again
For a week that started more than 30 days ago and isn't locked or paid, a Reallocate tips button appears beside Download CSV. It places every tip in the week again from its order time, so any tip you moved by hand goes back to where its time puts it. Tip Sheet asks first (Reallocate tips, with Cancel), and only people who can move tips see the button.
Download the list
Download CSV, at the top right of the list, saves every order in the week, with the columns above and each tip's service (or Unallocated). Despite the name, it's an Excel file. You'll only see the button if your role allows downloads.
